Demolition Services That Clear Old Structures and Free Up Your Land

Tearing Down and Hauling Off Across Northeast Georgia

Our demolition services take down sheds, barns, small buildings and old concrete. We break the structure apart, load the debris and haul it away. Then we smooth out the footprint so it is ready for what comes next. You get open, usable land in place of a falling-down eyesore.

Weather Tech Roofing is based in Elberton. We also take on teardown jobs in Hartwell, Washington and Lincolnton. Our team works on homes, farms and business properties across Northeast Georgia. Since we also haul and prep sites, one local team can handle the whole job.

Have an old shed, garage or slab you want gone? Call us or request a free estimate. We will talk through the teardown with you and answer your questions.

What's Included

What Building Demolition and Shed Removal Include

Every teardown starts with a close look at how the structure is built. Power, gas and water lines get shut off and capped first. Demolition on Northeast Georgia properties often means old farm outbuildings, sheds and cracked slabs.

Why a Planned Teardown Leaves a Cleaner, Safer Site

Less Dust Drifting Across Your Yard

Old paint, drywall and dirt can drift during a teardown. We wet down surfaces as we work to keep dust out of the air. That matters most on older buildings, which are more likely to have lead paint.

Making Sure the Utilities Are Off

A live wire or gas line inside a wall is a real hazard. Before teardown, those lines are shut off outside the building and capped. The utility company gets notice first, so service is cut the right way.

Backfilling and Grading the Old Footprint

With the debris gone, we fill low spots and grade the bare ground. Rain then drains away from the spot. That keeps the old footprint from turning into a muddy hole.

Sheds, Barns, Slabs and Small Buildings We Take Down

Many jobs start with a sagging shed or a barn no one should walk into. Others are an old garage or carport standing in the way of new plans. We also break out concrete patios, driveways and slabs. On business properties, we clear old outbuildings and worn pads for parking or new buildings. As a grading contractor, we can then prep the site for your next build.

A wood shed comes apart fast, but a block building or thick slab takes heavier breaking. Structures close to a house, fence or trees need slower, careful work at the edges. Empty buildings that have sat for years often hold trash, nests or rotted floors. We clear that out first so the teardown stays safe and the debris sorts cleanly.

  • Leaning sheds and storage buildings past the point of repair
  • Old barns, garages and carports taking up useful land
  • Cracked concrete patios, driveways and slab foundations
  • Vacant outbuildings that draw pests, dumping or trespassers

Do utilities have to be shut off before a building is torn down?

Yes, power, gas and water lines must be off and capped before demolition starts. The utility companies handle the shutoff, so contact them early. Capping lines outside the building means nothing live is left in the walls.

Does an old building need an asbestos check before demolition?

Commercial buildings in Georgia must be inspected for asbestos before demolition. Homes with four or fewer units are usually exempt. A larger project can change that. Older homes may also have lead paint, so keeping dust down matters.

Can you remove a concrete slab or driveway without tearing down a building?

Yes, breaking out patios, driveways and slab foundations is a job on its own. The broken concrete is loaded up and hauled off. Then the area is graded smooth.

What happens to the debris after a demolition job?

We load the debris and haul it away from your property. Metal and clean concrete are kept apart where possible so they can be recycled. Mixed waste goes to a proper disposal site.

What will my lot look like after the old building is gone?

You get a cleared, graded spot with the debris hauled away. From there, the ground can be seeded, sodded or prepped for a new build.
