Dump Trailer Rental for Dirt, Debris and Cleanout Hauls

Hauling Help for Homes, Farms and Businesses in Northeast Georgia

Dump trailer rental makes hauling easier, because the trailer tips its own load. A hydraulic lift raises the front of the bed, and the load slides out the back. That saves hours of shoveling at the dump or the job site. It suits dirt, gravel, yard waste and cleanout debris.

Weather Tech Roofing is based in Elberton and rents to customers in Lexington, Comer and Carlton. We also serve the wider Northeast Georgia area. Weather Tech Roofing is a member of the American Rental Association, number 205436.

Call us for dump trailer rates and availability. We take calls weekdays and on Saturday mornings.

What's Included

What You Can Haul With a Dump Trailer

A dump trailer carries loose or bulky loads that would mess up a truck bed. You fill it, tow it and raise the bed to unload in one spot. Across Northeast Georgia, a dump trailer lets you haul cleanout debris on your own schedule. Balance each load so the weight sits evenly from side to side.

How a Hydraulic Dump Trailer Rental Speeds Up Hauling

Tip the Load Out With a Hydraulic Lift

On most dump trailers, the hydraulic lift runs on a battery mounted on the trailer. Press the control, and the bed tips up to dump the load. You can also spread gravel slowly by pulling forward as the load slides out.

Hitching Up the Right Way

Check your vehicle's towing ratings in the owner's manual before rental day. Cross the safety chains under the tongue, and leave slack for turns. Test the brake lights, turn signals and trailer brakes before you pull out.

Slow Down and Leave Room to Stop

A loaded trailer needs more distance to stop and can sway at higher speeds. Drive at a moderate speed and brake early.

Cleanouts, Yard Debris and Material Runs

Homeowners rent a dump trailer for a weekend cleanout or a pile of storm limbs. Landowners use one to haul gravel for a farm road or brush from a fence row. Small businesses haul old fixtures, scrap or shop waste. Each job is easier when the trailer can back up close to the pile. Our grading and landscaping company also rents equipment that can help load the trailer.

Dirt, rock and concrete are heavy. A trailer can reach its weight limit before it looks full. Load heavy material low and spread it evenly over the axles. Spread bulky, light debris over the top. Too little weight on the tongue can cause sway, and too much makes steering heavy.

  • A garage or attic cleanout before a move
  • A pile of storm limbs and brush after a cleanup
  • Leftover dirt and rock from a drainage project
  • Old concrete pieces from a removed walkway or slab

What kind of truck do I need to pull a dump trailer?

You need a truck rated to tow the loaded trailer, with a matching hitch and ball. Check the tow rating and the combined weight rating in your owner's manual. Most dump trailers also need a 7-pin plug and a brake controller.

Do I have to tarp a dump trailer load in Georgia?

Not always, but Georgia law requires the load to be covered or secured. Nothing may drop or blow out of the bed. A tarp and straps are the usual way to hold loose debris, mulch and dirt.

Can I haul dirt and broken concrete in a dump trailer?

Yes, but heavy loads fill the weight limit fast. A partial bed of dirt or concrete can be a full load. Spread the weight evenly and keep it low.

Do I need trailer brakes on a dump trailer?

Yes, if the trailer and its load weigh 3,000 pounds or more. Georgia law requires brakes on all wheels of trailers at that weight. Electric trailer brakes work through a brake controller in the tow vehicle.

Should I rent a dump trailer or hire a hauling service?

Rent the trailer if you have a truck that can tow it and time to load it. If you would rather not tow or load, our team also offers hauling. We can haul dirt, debris and materials for you.
