Narrow Trenches, Less Cleanup
A narrow bucket cuts a trench just wider than the pipe. That leaves less dirt to move and less lawn to patch. Because the cab turns, you can set dirt beside the trench without moving the tracks.

Mini Excavator Rental
Rent a mini excavator when your job calls for digging down into the ground. With mini excavator rental, you get a small digging machine for trenches, footings and holes. The boom, arm and bucket sit on a cab that turns in a full circle. Most mini excavators also have a front blade that pushes dirt back in once your pipe is set.
We are based in Elberton and rent equipment to customers in Hartwell, Royston and Bowman. We also serve towns all across Northeast Georgia. Weather Tech Roofing is an American Rental Association member, number 205436.
Call us for mini excavator rates and to check open dates. We answer rental questions on weekdays and Saturday mornings.
What's Included
A mini excavator handles digging a loader cannot reach. It cuts narrow trenches, scoops out footings and lifts rocks and roots from a hole. In Northeast Georgia, a mini excavator saves days of shovel work in heavy clay.

Zero tail swing means the back of the cab stays inside the tracks as it turns. That type works well next to a house, fence or tree. A machine with a standard tail needs open room behind it to swing.
Georgia law requires a call to Georgia 811 at least three business days before machine digging. Marking the buried lines is free.
Where We Work
We are based in Elberton. We work on homes, farms and job sites across Northeast Georgia.
View All Service AreasHomeowners rent a mini excavator to put in a French drain along a soggy side yard. A French drain is a gravel trench with a pipe that carries water away. Landowners use one to clean a ditch or set a culvert pipe under a drive. Builders and businesses use it for footings, sign posts and short trenches for water or wiring.
Many mini excavators run on rubber tracks, which spread the weight on lawns and soft ground. Plan a clear path from the trailer to the dig, and cover finished walks with plywood. Pile dirt at least 2 feet back from the trench edge. Weather Tech Roofing also rents a dump trailer to haul the extra dirt away. Keep people and pets out of the swing area while the cab turns.

251-947-0767Dig depth depends on the machine's size and arm length. Compact excavators run from about 1 to 8 metric tons, and the bigger ones reach deeper. Check the dig depth against your plan before rental day.
Yes, OSHA rules call for a protective system once a trench reaches 5 feet deep. That means sloping the walls, shoring them or using a trench box. Never step into a deep trench with straight walls.
Rent the excavator to dig down and the loader to move dirt across the ground. The excavator works from one spot and reaches into holes and trenches. A track loader pushes, carries and spreads dirt over a wider area.
It depends on the machine's width and your gate. Some compact models have tracks that pull in to pass narrow openings. Measure the gate between the posts and latches before you plan the job.
Buckets are standard, and many machines can also run augers, breakers and grapples. A quick coupler swaps tools fast. Make sure the coupler is locked and tested before you lift anything.
